My brother and I were talking finances and investing and he said he went to an advisor to see if he needed any help.  This advisor told him he looked on track and that upon reviewing his investments there was nothing he could do that would justify the cost of having him involved.  I told my brother that he needed to get on social media – Google, Facebook, Linked In, etc and give this person a good review for being honest and not taking his money for the sake of it.

That got me to thinking of my profession and how lawyers will take money from clients in situations where there is little or no upside to having or paying a lawyer under the circumstances.  I myself have turned down business because the situation didn’t justify the time and expense of having a lawyer involved under simple cost benefit analysis.  I figure that telling the truth isn’t only the right thing to do, but in the long run will drive business to me, because this person will tell his or her friends that I can help.  So REMEMBER, favorable reviews now so important in our business.  If anyone has given you great service, focused on you, rather than the dollar, you really should let that be known.
