National Assisted Living Week 2017

This year we marked National Assisted Living Week with exciting, daily events, as well as, with a couple big group events. At our Oktoberfest, delicious German food and music provided an entertaining time for all. What a great way to kick off the fall season!

Throughout the week, residents and staff were encouraged to wear a different color or color combination each day. This was a nice way to bring everyone together and create a festive, unified atmosphere. GrandeVille also hosted an Appreciation Lunch – complete with cake and a gift for each resident at their seat. We know that our success at GrandeVille depends on the satisfaction and happiness of our residents. We hope they know just how much we appreciate them and their choice to live at GV!

Traditional Assisted Living, Memory Care and Enhanced Care

Do you know the differences between the levels of care offered at GrandeVille? If you or someone you know is looking for more information, check out two of our recent NearSay articles regarding this topic:

  1. Adult Day Care vs. Memory Care

  2. Assisted Living vs. Enhanced Assisted Living

Garden Dedication in Memory of Jane Buonaccorso

In August, we dedicated a portion of the Mary Regina courtyard garden in memory of Jane Buonaccorso. Jane's family chose to enhance our memory care garden to honor her lifelong love of gardening. The statue (pictured with plaque) was in her own garden. The family restored it and now it has a new home in this lovely space.

We are so appreciative to the Buonaccorso family for enhancing our memory care garden. Stop by this beautiful, relaxing area the next time you visit the Mary Regina courtyard!
