It Was Established More Than a 100 Years Ago

Having opened its doors on June 27, 1907, the alumni association recently marked 110 years since it was founded. Its inception is counted among the biggest accomplishments during Brother Gabriel Bertram Bellinghausen’s tenure as the college principal.

It Started Out With 200 Charter Members

With James L. Holt as its first president, the association started out with 200 charter members at the time of its inauguration. Today, SLAA proudly boasts of 2,600 alumni and is supervised by nine members in the Board of Directors. Many of their former students have gone on to serve the island of Hawaii in prominent positions.

It Was Founded on the Basis of Marianist Catholic Principles

St. Louis alumni follow the same belief system that served as the foundation for the school and college. They have undertaken the task of representing and promoting the Marianist Catholic philosophy. As proud ambassadors of the school, they consider it their duty to advocate the aims and policies of their alma mater.

It’s the Only Alumni Body in Hawaii to Offer Clubhouse Facilities to Members
