Educational Programs at the Pink Palace Family of Museums & Their Benefits

Suitcase Exhibits

Suitcase exhibits were designed with a class full of children in mind, conveniently bringing the museum to the classroom. They are free to Tennessee schools who reserve them two weeks in advance, while out-of-state schools have to pay an affordable $25 fee. The exhibit comes with hands-on props and a teacher’s manual. It’s an easy, pre-designed lesson complete with all the tools you need to get kids involved.

Lab Explorations

Lab explorations are available in a wide range of topics, from humpback whales to dinosaur fossils and cell structure. The programs are led by instructors for groups of students, complete with interactive learning activities. When children have the chance to handle objects and examine visual aids, they are more likely to retain the information and see its application in the real world.

Discover Theater

educational programsThe object-based activities in Discovery Theater programs at the museum not only teach them about important principles but show their application through experiments. The programs are between 45 to 60 minutes long and can accommodate up to 100 children. The curriculum is aligned with state curriculum standards, so it’s a high-quality presentation that fits in perfectly with existing lesson plans.
