Any passionate educator will tell you that the best part of the job is seeing kids succeed. This is what motivates the professionals of A Rising Star Children's Center. For over a decade, these educators have been providing Cortlandt Manor, New York, and the surrounding area, with early child care services designed to prepare little ones for academic success. This June, they are proud to celebrate 13 years of service—and the triumphs of their former students.

Gloria Foster-Vayda and Tom Vayda, the owners of A Rising Star Children's Center, have long pursued their passion for teaching. Gloria holds a master’s degree in education, while her husband Tom has a background in education and psychology. Since founding the child care center, they have been working together to provide the area’s children with the tools they need to flourish academically.

As A Rising Star Children's Center reaches its 13-year anniversary, Gloria and Tom are pleased to highlight those successes. Many of Tom and Gloria’s former charges have gone on to make it to the top of their class at school. One former student not only graduated second in her class, but she also received a full four-year scholarship for college. The lessons these young people received as children helped pave the way for their current excellence.

Looking ahead, the team at A Rising Star Children’s Center welcomes the opportunity to set more kids up for a successful future. Their child care services include infant and toddler care, as well as preschool and before- and after-school programs. Children receive lessons on everything from science and math to proper manners and social etiquette.
