Buzzard Billy’s restaurant in Lincoln, NE, will now open their doors at 10 a.m. on Saturdays during the farmers’ market season. Customers can now stop into the restaurant for a quick bite to eat while browsing the fresh produce and merchandise in the market.

restaurantThe Haymarket Farmers’ Market runs from May 6th through October 14th, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., no matter the weather. In the last decade, the market has expanded, and it now boasts almost 200 vendor stalls during the summer season. You can find fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, like radishes, tomatoes, strawberries, carrots, and peaches. The local farmers and vendors also offer plants, perennials, cut flowers, cheeses, dried meats, and eggs, as well as other cuts of protein like beef, lamb, and chicken.

Other vendors attending offer baked goods, different types of bread, homemade root beer, seasoning mixes, and wine, making your visit to the market a one-stop shopping trip for your pantry and fridge. The market also has vendors selling arts and crafts such as jewelry and wreathes. And from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., you can find exciting performances at the stage in Iron Horse Park.

Once you have finished shopping, stop by Buzzard Billy’s for a delicious lunch of burgers, wings, and steaks.
