At Farmers Insurance, we are an industry leader in catastrophe response and we’re able to handle whatever Mother Nature throws our way. Thanks to our Mobile Claims Center buses and our fleet of Customer Care Vehicles we will be on the scene immediately. Rest assured that when the storms hit, we will be there for you.

Before the storms come, make sure you have flashlights with good batteries and a first aid kit readily available in the house.

Safety first-

  • Watch out for broken glass both inside and outside the building.
  • Always assume that downed power lines are dangerous and report them to your utility company and police immediately.
  • If there is major damage to your home, shut off electrical power, natural gas and propane tanks.
  • Keep children and pets away from any debris at your home or around the neighborhood.

Do not sign with a contractor that comes knocking on your door unsolicited. I do not recommend hiring a storm chaser. There are a lot of highly qualified contractors out there. Get a good one and it’s usually a good idea to get bids from more than just one.

If you think you may have damage after a storm, please contact our office.  We will help guide you through the process and decide if you should turn in a claim on your homeowner insurance.

When you need us, we will be there for you!
