The L. Suzio York Hill Companies, based in Meriden, CT, has been the trusted crushed stone, concrete, and asphalt supply company for local construction since 1898. The owner, Len Suzio, sponsors a local golf tournament each year in memory of his brother Steven. This tournament has run for over 30 years and benefits the local community.

Steven was a Meriden local, born in 1959. He graduated from St. Paul Catholic High School in 1977 and had a stellar reputation for his athletic contribution to the school, earning nine varsity letters while attending the institution. Steven died in an auto accident in 1979, and to this day he is remembered for the impact he made on the school and his peers while there. Appropriately, the golf tournament held in his honor has awarded over 50 scholarships to students at St. Paul Catholic High School.

Benefitting the Community & Local Students

Through the generosity of sponsors of the golf tournament, Suzio York Hill has been able to award of $200,000 in scholarships to local graduates of St. Paul Catholic High School and Mt. Carmel Elementary School via the Steven J. Suzio Scholarship Fund. In addition to the scholarships, proceeds from the tournament have benefitted many local charities, schools, and boys and girls clubs.

This year, the 31st annual tournament will take place on June 8, on the course at Tunxis Plantation Country Club in Farmington. Registration includes 18 holes, a commemorative gift, a raffle, lunch, and dinner. Sign up for the tournament today to have a great time for a great cause.
