Grosvenor Arch March 20, 2017

Page, Coconino
Grosvenor Arch, Page, Arizona

At the end of the Cottonwood Canyon Road just south of Kodachrome Basin State Park is a very impressive Arch in the desert.  Originally called Butler Arch by early settlers, Grosvenor Arch was renamed in 1947 by a National Geographic Society expedition in honor of their founder, Dr. Gilbert Grosvenor.  Located about one mile off the Cottonwood Canyon Road (400) there are actually 3 different arches.  The first 2 are very apparent and the last one (smaller one) is located to the left (west) of the larger two a short walk around the rock formations.  This is another impressive rock formation you can find within a 100 miles of Page, AZ.  Staying at The Bears Den B&B is a perfect location to make short day trips to so many wonderful things in the area.  Not to mention you get a great breakfast to start your day.  Summer is here and the weather if phenomenal.  Come and see the many nature rock formation in the area and enjoy the many National Parks surrounding Page, AZ and Lake Powell.  Give us a call and we can help you plan your stay!
