The Different Options When Choosing Cremation

When someone transitions over to eternity their loved ones are left with one of the toughest decisions in life. How do you choose between a cremation ceremony verses a traditional ceremony? What are the different options that you have when you choose cremation? To address these questions on how to make the decision, it truly comes down to what the family wants or what they can afford if no plan was decided before hand. Unfortunately for many families they are forced to choose cremation because of the cost that comes with a traditional service. Cremation is more cost effective but the life of the one who has transitioned into eternity can still have a ceremony just as nice as a traditional service. With cremation, you have many more options than a traditional service. If you choose cremation you can have public viewing with a night of greeting with family and friends, have a scattering ceremony wherever you choose, have a public life celebration service either at a church, funeral home or anywhere of your choice without the restrictions of a casket, you can also purchase unique keepsake jewelry or urns of your choice. Cremation allows you to celebrate your loved one’s life in many different and unique ways. I find it interesting to hear the wonderful stories of how families chose to place the ashes of their loved one. Some like to scatter the ashes at the lake at the persons favorite fishing spot, others were place in a firework for the fourth of July and the stories go on. Because of the wonderful ways that we can acknowledge the life of the one we love is why I find cremation very intriguing for myself. A traditional service is also very nice and truly at the end if comes down to a personal preference and finances. One of the best ways to help offset the cost is to locate a funeral home of your choice and pick out what you want and prepay for the service in advance. If you prepay for your service it locks in the price in which the service is at that time and will not go up. It will also help your family to focus more on your celebration service.
