Did you realize one-third of the world’s population is wrestling? It's true that many people are wrestling with tooth decay. The Journal of Dental Resesrch lines out the critical points to defeating their teeth’s opponent, Cavity Carl.

Cavity Carl thrives because of an increase in oral bacteria and sugar resulting in a more acidic mouth, along with a decrease in home care (brushing, flossing, waterpik), throw in a decline in preventive dental care appointments, along with a lesser amount of saliva and Cavity Carl becomes a stronger opponent.

You might have known those Cavity Carl training secrets already but you might be surprised by what the research of MacRitchie and his team uncovered. During their investigation the researchers learned children in an environment where tobacco is used by a parent have a higher incidence of dental decay which can lead to a toothache. Yes, that's right, Cavity Carl thrives due to the child’s decrease saliva, increase tooth plaque, and as we would expect an increase in demineralization.

Here at Teresa Wade DDS-Family Dentistry we earnestly strive to be a blessing to our family of dental patients. If we can prevent a cavity for a child, well we would love that! And really, for everyone to stay healthy would be so cost effective and simply easier for them.

As a dentist Dr. Jerry Wade and Dr Teresa Wade daily strive to help parents and their children return to health and stay in health utilizing the six (6) month preventive dental clinic visits.

This is inspiring research brings to focus the importance of forgetting that tobacco habit and remembering to keep those 6 month preventive dental care appointments  inspiring us all to live long, live well, and to live intentionally. That would defeat the Cavity Carl we all wrestle every day.
