Whether you are interested in classic muscle cars like the ’72 GT, or engaged by something classy like the ’37 Bugatti, it is clear that for aficionados that cars are more than a utility - they are an art, and a way of life. For the classic car fanatic, there is no greater experience than a well-organized vintage auto show. The recently held Charlotte AutoFair Produced by Hornets Nest Region, AACA was an extremely successful installation of such an event, garnering great attendance and exhibition of some of the most beautiful classic cars around.

At this fantastic event, eye candy was abounding. One of the classic collector cars on display was the popular Corvette Z06, 60th Anniversary Edition. Owned by a military veteran who purchased this white beauty, this visual treat is sleek, clean, and possesses all of the classic attributes coveted by any collector interested in the Corvette brand. Another beautiful example, earning the much sought-after title of “Best in Show” was a stunning mint condition 1973 Buccaneer Red Pontiac Trans Am. It’s owner, Mark Brantley, is not just a mechanic, but the archetypal Trans Am fan as a lifelong lover of the make and model, spending a well invested four years of work on the specimen, keeping it as close to original as possible by maintaining the original 8-Track and AM/FM stereo system. And, of course, cars are not just for the men as is represented by the Ladies’ Choice winner: a striking 1976 AMC Pacer.

With the remarkable visual stimuli in the form of antique cars appearing at this auto show, it is clear that this was much more than your average car exhibit. The Charlotte AutoFair is a place for real passionate enthusiasts to come together, strut their stuff, and even win the notoriety their hard work and prized possessions deserve.
