The winter doldrums can leave you and your family yearning for the sunny days of summer. This is the best time of year to start thinking about signing your kids up for summer campLucky Lane Nursery School, an early enrichment center in Creve Coeur, MO, has its calendar set with fun, educational programs and activities to keep your kids learning all summer long.

Summer camp lasts for 11 weeks, and each week has a different theme. Here are some of the activities your kids can participate in:

  • Animals Week: This theme brings out the zoologist in your child. It features an exploration of the Conservation Trunk, making paw prints and a visit by some friendly turtles.
  • summer-camp-early-childhood-educationFantasy Friends Week:  Your child will get to create fantasy crowns, hats & masks.  There will be dress up days, a dance party even a Treasure Scavenger Hunt.
  • Dinosaurs Week:  Dinosaurs are a good way to teach children about history and spark their imagination. During this part of summer camp, kids will design dinosaur eggs and fossils, then take part in a fossil hunt.
  • Outer Space Week: Science is an important subject, and it comes alive at Lucky Lane Nursery School. Kids will learn more about our solar system when they build their own model of the planets and sun, and can “blast off” into outer space during a rocket launch.

Other themes include Beach, Western, and Mad Scientist. This combination of early childhood education programs and fun activities will help keep your kids engaged and occupied throughout the summer months.

For more than 60 years, Lucky Lane Nursery School has provided high-quality early childhood education programs that make learning fun. Don’t wait—spaces fill up quickly. To register your kids for this year’s summer camp, call (314) 434-4462, or apply online.
