Learning how to control how much we eat takes practice.  Serving yourself just the right amount on your plate is no easy task, especially when you are in a hurry.  One known fact is that if you want for 15-20 minutes before you go for seconds, you will feel more satisfied and less likely to take an extra helping that can add up to extra pounds down the road.  It takes time for the message to get to your brain. A feeling of fullness is the result of a complex combination of receptors in the stomach and hormones in the intestines.  Wait it out!! You may be surprised with yourself.
