I don’t know about you, but I do not enjoy pulling out the Christmas lights, untangling them and then plugging them in only to find that I need to replace a burnt out bulb, or worse, replace the whole strand. Of course, I always keep those little packs of replacement bulbs, but I only find them after I have resorted to purchasing new ones. Anyone?
This year why not use those lights in different ways around the house and avoid the challenges for next year! Purchase new Christmas lights on sale after the holidays, put them in your decorations to be fresh and ready for next year. You’ll thank yourself.
Now, what can you do with those lights? I have lights mounted with tape behind one of the hanging works of art in my home. It gives it a back light that really makes it stand out, looks somewhat professional (IMO) and makes the lighting soft.
My girls have them draped along their curtains in their rooms for some added ambiance ( Do teenagers need ambiance? Really?) There are plenty of DIY sites to give you ideas and inspiration, I have attached a few below.
How about using them for your outdoor lighting off season? I love this trampoline idea!
