Mindful eating is an important piece of your weight loss diet and is described as being fully aware of what is happening within and around you at the moment.  Notice the colors, aromas, flavors, and textures of your food.  Start by eating one meal a day or week in a slower, more attentive manner.  Chew slowly, taking your time between bites. Also keep distractions at a minimum by turning of the TV or your cell phone.
