When buying a flip house it is very important to get a home inspection. When buyers walk into a newly remodeled house it is often filled with the smell of fresh paint. The flooring is new along with the blinds appliances and new plumbing fixtures.Very rarely do I find new wiring. Many older houses still have the original wiring. This will mean is some cases that it is a two wire system verses a three wire which has a ground wire. Many remodeled houses have three prong outlets on a two wire system leaving them ungrounded . Another issue can be lack of GFCI (ground fault interrupter) outlets in the kitchen, bathrooms, garage and exterior outlets.Wiring methods have come a long way over the years and are still improving. As a home inspector I can help determine the safety and integrity of the electrical system.Old wiring
