Lynn Kawabe is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy with experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in residential, community-based and private practice settings. She is an active member of the Skillful Means DBT consultation team in Sierra Madre, CA. Her experience and training provides her with a strong background in both individual and group therapy treatment modalities.

Lynn’s work with adolescents in a substance abuse treatment center informs her strength-based approach to challenges facing adolescents: adjusting to major transitions, body image, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and crises. Lynn has a Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy from California School of Professional Psychology at AIU and a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
