Dr. Michael Helmbrecht

Dr. Michael Helmbrecht graduated from Marquette in 1981, and he has been in practice as a dentist ever since. Dr. Mike enjoys flying, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his kids.

 

Debbie Gerleve

Debbie Gerleve is our office manager. She has been with the Helmbrecht Dental family for about six years now. She loves spending time with her family and grandkids, and Alaska has been an adventure to her.

 

Karena Buchholtz

Karena Buchholtz is our newest member of our dental team. She works as a billing receptionist and enjoys working one-on-one with the patients. She loves living in Alaska and spending as much time hiking outdoors as she can.

 

Allison Mickelson

Allison Mickelson has been with Helmbrecht Dental for two years now. She started as a receptionist and got promoted to a dental assistant shortly after. Allison loves patient care and assisting. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to new places around the world and seeing new things. As she liked to say — live, laugh, love.

 

Cathy Brenton

Cathy Breton is our lead dental assistant at Helmbrecht Dental. Cathy is a married mother of three beautiful children. She originally was brought to Alaska from the military, but ever since the state has captured her heart. Cathy enjoys being outdoors, camping, fishing, running and experiencing new adventures. Helping others makes her the happiest. Cathy loves dental and coming to work every day.

 

Wendy Somers

Wendy Somers is our hygienist. She has been in dental for several decades. Wendy loves to read and travel in her free time. She holds a lot of value on family and loves spending as much time with them as possible.

 

Lori Lean

Lori Lean is our lead dental hygienist. She has been in practice for 44 years and is still going strong. She has practiced in Texas, Switzerland, and now Alaska. We have been blessed to have her at our office for over 20 years. Lori is happily married to a true Alaskan, Dave Lean. Lori enjoys knitting, reading, and traveling to new places.

 

Esther Hayes

Esther Hayes is our senior office manager/office consultant. She has been with the company for 33 years. Esther is currently building her own cabin with her husband and enjoys the simple life outdoors. Family is very special and important to her, and she loves spending as much time watching her grandkids grow up. Esther enjoys traveling and sharing her loving personality with everyone.
