The key to having a successful Voice Over business is to work, work, work. Right? Not if you want to have success in this business. Counterintuitive? On the contrary, as you will find out from our Voice Over Health Corner. Today we cover “Resting Your Voice”:
I am a big proponent of hard work. But part of what I teach my Voice Over students is that yes, hard work is important, but you also have to work smartly. And one of the key components to a successful Voice Over business is knowing when to rest.
Because what happens when you simply work non-stop? Although it’s great for income coming in, part of your responsibility as the CEO of your Voice Over business is to make sure that you replenish your energy so that you can keep performing at maximum capacity. And the only way to ensure that is to make sure that you rest.
So go ahead, kick back, allow yourself to enjoy the turkey and the time off with family and friends. Now, don’t rest on your laurels! Just rest well, so that you can kick off next week in high gear.
Until next time, Happy Holidays to all!
