From APA Pool leagues to live music and a shuffleboard, The Office Lounge bar of Foley, AL, usually serves as a beloved spot for casual, joyful evenings. However, on September 10th, this local bar will take on a more reverent celebration of life in the form of a memorial for Richard Miller.
Richard, son of Kristina Lowell Salter, passed away on July 28th, at the age of 20. In his honor, the local community will host a fish fry and pool tournament to celebrate the lively nature of his young life. All patrons are welcome to take part in this memorial.
Stop into the Office Lounge Bar at noon where Richard’s celebration of life will begin with the serving of food. If you can’t rush over during the day, it’s not a problem. Not only will the event continue until food is sold out, but Richard’s compassionate family and friends will deliver food throughout the local area should three or more plates be in demand.
In the style of classic Southern comfort food, each $8 plate will be loaded with fish, white or baked beans, coleslaw or potato salad, and an indulgent dessert. If you’re not feeling hungry, you can also take part in the pool tournament, which will begin at 5 p.m.
In the wake of Richard’s passing, all attendees are welcome to participate in the pool tournament, though you can also come by the bar simply to pay your respects in person. In addition to the fish fry and pool tournament, the Office Lounge Bar will be holding a 50/50 raffle. The proceeds from all three events will be donated to Richard’s mother for final expenses.
If you have any questions or would like to make a donation in memory of Richard, call the Office Lounge Bar at (251) 943-2210.
