auto showEven though the team behind Charlotte AutoFair Produced by Hornets Nest Region, AACA is busy planning their next massive car exhibit, they always enjoy the chance to showcase some of their all-time favorite classic car makes and models throughout the year. This month, they’ve decided to highlight one of the most effortlessly classic and timelessly elegant collector cars of all time, the beloved 1960 Mercedes-Benz 190SL Roadster.

Known for its contrasting interior and exterior color combinations, Mercedes-Benz manufactured the two-door roadster for just eight years, between 1955 and 1963. At the time, the sporty yet luxurious model was meant to offer consumers a more affordable alternative to the 300SL series. Available with either a removable hardtop or an attached soft top, the four-speed manual transmission grand tourer quickly became a favorite among discerning car collectors. The iconic round beam headlamps, classic chrome detailing, and eye-catching body have kept the 1960 Mercedes-Benz 190SL Roadster close to the hearts of classic car enthusiasts for years. In fact, today pristine examples of the 56-year-old model regularly fetch over six figures among classic car collectors.

Catch a glimpse of the 1960 Mercedes-Benz 190SL Roadster at the next Charlotte AutoFair Produced by Hornets Nest Region, AACA, and rent your own lot to show off your favorite vintage car to other like-minded auto show enthusiasts.
