Event Information

If you’re a massage therapist or student studying the art of shiatsu massage, Aisen Shiatsu Doin, Honolulu’s leading center for shiatsu massage therapy and teaching, is holding a unique opportunity for hands-on learning unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. Aisen Shiatsu School, the award-winning massage therapy school, has partnered with the University of Hawaii’s John A. Burns School of Medicine to deliver a once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunity where students and fellow massage therapists can study a cadaver to help deepen their knowledge of the human body and its anatomy.

This engaging Cadaver Workshop allows experienced massage therapists and students alike a rare opportunity to work hands-on with a real cadaver where they can dissect, examine, and study the muscles and tissues massage therapists treat in their practice. Experiencing the human body’s composition allows massage therapists and those studying the art of shiatsu massage to better understand their client’s complaints and how to treat them more effectively.

Aisen Shiatsu School’s Cadaver Workshop will be a two-day learning experience beginning Saturday, May 28 and continuing on Sunday, May 29. The workshop will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. both days with an hour lunch break offered. The Cadaver Workshop will be hosted at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii in the Biomedical Science Building located at 651 Ilao Street in Honolulu. For those who are interested in attending, the Aisen Shiatsu School asks that you fill out and return an application form no later than Friday, May 9 with a check for $450.00. This application fee includes the cost of the two-day workshop in addition to a bento lunch and lunch each day.
