This week JFK Window and Door is featuring an Andersen Tilt-Wash Double Hung with a Half Round above it. We installed several of these windows for a customer in the Fort Mitchell area. The customer’s comments about a job well done were posted on our site yesterday. This window is unique for its finelight (between-the-glass) grills in the dark bronze color on the inside and outside. Without further ado- here’s a picture of the window for this week’s Window Wednesday:

This window went through a transformation from a rectangular transom opening on the inside to a half round transom opening on the inside. The necessary framing and drywall work was also provided by JFK Window and Door.

This picture shows the exposed insulation around the half round transom before the drywall.

Next our installers covered the area with plastic tarps to keep the area clean before applying drywall.

Here’s the picture after the drywall has been installed.

Finally, we have the finished product. With new casing around both the half round and tilt-wash double hung.

As you can see from the front of the house, there were eight of these windows requiring special care to transform a rectangular opening into a true half round opening.
