La Crosse County employees are able to wear jeans every Friday and are asked to make a donation to one of the chosen county charities which are Hillview, Lakeview, Aging, County Libraries, Health & Human Services Programs, UW Extension Programs and Jeans Day participant nominated programs.

Here is what Hillview has done with monies raised in 2015!

The jeans day funds were put to good use at Hillview in 2015. We used funds to provide monthly service and bird seed for feeders outside the residents’ rooms. With this service residents can simply look out their window to enjoy watching birds, squirrels, and even deer fill up on birdseed.

It was also used for a year of cleaning/service for a beautiful indoor bird Aviary located next to the Memory Care units. At almost every hour of the day someone is sitting in front of the aviary watching the birds frolic eagerly awaiting the babies that may or may not be in each of the four nests.

Thank you for allowing Hillview to receive some of the Jeans Day funds as it has impacted the residents’ everyday enjoyment!
