Duane Komine, ARM, general manager of the award-winning luxury high-rise Hokua, was honored recently by Honolulu City Council for his contributions to the field of building management in our community. The 3-time winner of the Institute of Real Estate Management's (IREM's) Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) of the Year Award for the Hawaii chapter, is also the first-ever recipient of IREM's ARM of the Year award for the entire organization, which has chapters throughout the world. Mr. Komine is active in leadership of the Ala Moana/Kaka’ako Neighborhood Board, and spearheads the "Superblock" organization, a group of Honolulu building managers who meet regularly to discuss challenges and solutions associated with managing their high profile condominiums. Mr. Komine also serves the community as president of the Miss Hawaii USA pageant organization.Duane is shown with family members, Hokua staff, councilmembers and other supporters:
