Are you ready for the most exciting vintage car show in the Southeast? Taking place every spring and fall, the Charlotte AutoFair is the city’s biggest auto show and a must-see event in the region. To show what kind of amazing cars will be on display, the Charlotte Auto Fair is featuring a classic vintage car this month, the 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI.

Although the Rabbit isn’t as fast as its German counterpart, the American version has plenty of speed to match its sleek exterior. Able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in about 10.6 seconds, this 2,200-lb car has a 1.8-liter engine and excellent performance capabilities. That’s because it was made to steer around curving mountain roads and narrow streets. Besides its crisp handling features, it also has excellent suspension for a smooth-as-silk driving experience. The Pirelli P6 tires grip the asphalt superbly, giving the driver a good command of the road. The close-ratio five-speed transmission gives drivers plenty of torque.

Bringing together car collectors and enthusiasts together for more than 30 years, the Charlotte AutoFair is a four-day event that covers 150 acres and usually receives over 150,000 guests. If you want to see antique cars or collector cars like the 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI, then come and take part in the show. The Charlotte Auto Fair invites both vendors and collectors with over 10,000 open spaces available for restoration parts and cars for sale.

If you’re looking to attend and be a part of this vintage car show, then sign up with Charlotte AutoFair online to receive your Vendor Pass or admission ticket, or call them at (704) 841-1990.
