Reading and writing enrichment programs at FasTracKids/JEI Learning Center in Williamsburg will help students from 5 to 12 years of age improve their comprehension, editing, and writing skills while fostering a lifelong love of learning. If you’re not sure whether writing and reading enrichment is right for your child, check out these five facts from the team at the JEI Learning Center:

  • Tutoring Programs Offer More One-On-One Time: The writing and reading enrichment program maintains a maximum four-to-one student/instructor ratio, which allows for more one-on-one time than your child can get in the classroom.
  • learning centerThe Frequency Is Flexible: Students attend tutoring programs anywhere from one to two times a week, with each visit being an hour long. Every student is encouraged, but not required, to complete the take-home work that their tutors give them, and as your child progresses you may choose to increase or decrease the frequency of their instruction.
  • Program Placement Targets Learning: The passionate teachers that work at the JEI Learning Center understand that every child is different, which is why each student takes a free academic assessment test before being placed in a learning group. This process allows the educational team to pinpoint the areas your child struggles with and discover their many strengths.
  • Enrichment & Tutoring Will Help Students At Every Level: Students who struggle with writing, editing, and reading skills will benefit greatly from the learning center's enrichment programs. However, even gifted and talented students can benefit from writing and reading enrichment by expanding their vocabularies and delving deeper into complex reading comprehension.
  • The JEI Learning Center curriculum is Common-Core Aligned: As your child does their work at the Center, they are not only reinforcing what they learn at school, but also preparing for the upcoming ELA tests!
