2015 has been a great year. We started out in the beginning of January, in some very cold weather, by moving into the new building, and current location. For those that might not remember the old space, which happens to be just around the corner (Currently Hein Plumbing), Bombers CrossFit is now almost three times larger than our old location. We quickly expanded to fill out the square footage by more than doubling the size of the pull-up rig, adding more bars, bumpers, and balls, as well as GHDs, more rowers, more boxes, more of almost everything… not to mention the Peg Board and so many other little additions it’s hard to count.

Throughout 2015 we added 85 new teammates to the Bomber Crew. Along the way we said goodbye to so many Military friends as they PCS’d away, but we know they are off around the globe representing the Bomber Crew! As we gained new friends and faces our attendance was over continually increasing. Our average class size jumped from 6 to nearly 12 by the end of 2015. We saw many classes with 20+ at the more popular times. We’ve also added more classes to the schedule and plan on continuing to build upon that.

As for your fitness levels, we have seen a vast improvement in everyone. We’ve tracked 1,200+ PRs on everything from Lifting, to Gymnastics, to … I’ll say it… FRAN! The Bomber Coaches have pushed you and you’ve pushed yourselves and as a Crew we’ve lifted 516,000+ lbs in 2015. I wish I had the time to count out the number of Pull-Ups, Push-Ups and Squats we did. You RX’d 3,400+ WODs and RX+’d 29, you all have challenged our programing and it’s you that keeps pushing us farther and harder.

You as a community came together and supported each other far more than anyone could have imagined. We jumped at any excuse to mix fitness, food, and fun. The 2015 CrossFit Games Open, and our Friday Night Throwdowns were a huge hit. You were the Games Superstars of the night, and we all came to watch you (and eat some serious treats!). The Crew showed up in force for other events on the 4th of July and Memorial Day Murph. Our Bomber Babes left the kids and kettlebells home for an evening each quarter to hang out away from chalk dust and protein shakes. We also had so many of you step out and compete at competitions around the area. I loved to see the support and camaraderie as you cheered each other on to put your training to the test.

I am so proud of all that we, the Bomber Crew, have accomplished in 2015. I am extremely excited to see what’s in store for 2016 and beyond.
