About SYSTEMarchitects

Engaging & Reflecting On Contemporary Culture

SYSTEMarchitects was co-founded in 1988 by partners Jeremy Edmiston and Douglas Gauthier in New York City. The architecture firm focuses on creating contemporary spaces that are multi-layered, overlapping, and intertwining. In addition to creating innovative buildings that reflect contemporary culture, the firm also strives to engage with New York City’s culture in order to complete projects for various economies and environments.

The diversity of SYSTEMarchitects’ work is reflected in their numerous projects, such as their winning entries for the 2004 "New Housing New York Competition" and the 2003 "SECCA HOME House Competition." SYSTEMarchitects has been lauded for its services and has received numerous awards and accolades, such as being featured in Time Magazine as Innovators in 2005 for the Burst .003 housing prototype. Other awards won by the architecture firm include "Design Vanguard in 2001" from the Architectural Record, the "Wilkinson Award" from the Royal Australian Institute of Architects in 2006, and the "Timber Design Award" for in Residential, New Building in 2006.

Serving both residential and commercial clients, the architectural design company will create concrete, modern designs that will beautifully reflect contemporary culture. For more information on industrial or home design, visit SYSTEMarchitects online or call (212) 625-0005
