SYSTEMarchitects was co-founded in 1988 by partners Jeremy Edmiston and Douglas Gauthier in New York City. The architecture firm focuses on creating contemporary spaces that are multi-layered, overlapping, and intertwining. Other awards won by the architecture firm include "Design Vanguard in 2001" from the Architectural Record, the "Wilkinson Award" from the Royal Australian Institute of Architects in 2006, and the "Timber Design Award" for in Residential, New Building in 2006.
